Anyone heard of a La Croixzy? No, I might have made it up, but who knows maybe it was already a thing. 1 shot of vodka + 1 can of La Croix = perfect, refreshing beach drink that doesn’t let your hydration get away from you. No, this is in no way paleo, but it is healthier than a White Russian or a Pina Colada… or pretty much any other alcoholic beverage. I went to the beach over the 4th of July with my college roommates and we were all aboard that La Croixzy train. Plus, it’s really fun to say “I’m getting La CrAzY!” after one or two.
La Croix mixed with a little vodka and poured over ice was good enough for us (although we also experimented with a really good La Croix Sangria with no added sugar or sweeteners). BUT my brother in law prompted me to take it a step further- he is the king of the sweet tooth.
I make my point. And so I will be sharing with you the recipe that we found to make one heck of an ultimate La Croixzy.
If you’ve never tried La Croix, you should! I am hooked and have passed it on to so many people because its delicious. I also love that its just sparkling water with no sugars, sweeteners, sodium, or artificial flavors. I must admit that I usually have 1-2 of these to get me through the work day (I act like they have caffeine in them…or vodka). My favorite flavors are pictured above- Coconut and Cranraspberry, but there are a ton more to try and all good.
- 1 can La Croix
- 1- 2 shots Vodka
- 2 tsp Grenadine
- ¼ cup pineapple juice (check your labels- no added sugar!)
- Combine all desired ingredients up to the ice in a cocktail shaker (La-Croix is carbonated so shake at your own risk)
- Pour over ice
If you want to get REAL La-Croixzy add these optional mix-ins:
Splash of champagne
Shot of Coconut Rum
Juice of 1/2 lime
Mint for garnish
Lime for Garnish
