Welcome back to another Soundtrack to My Weekend where I put song lyrics to my pictures to make them sound more interesting. This is the “Margaret actually left the house and even went to a sporting event” edition. Don’t believe me? See for yourself, people.
I’m slowly starting to run again in this post-marathon world and on Friday I ran x amount of miles. I can’t exactly find my Garmin right now (Forerunner 620 so I’m freaking out), but I’m also enjoying not having any idea how fast or far I’m going. And if anyone knows this song besides my friends from college who had to hear me sing it for 4 years, I’ll officially name you my favorite person in the world.
I picked my niece dog up from the groomers on my way home from work. She finally figured out the wonderful world of pillows and now uses anything and everything to rest on, including this 8 pack of La Croix I had in the back seat. I think she gets her fabulousness from her Aunt Marge. I mean, look at that handkerchief.
On Saturday morning, I woke up to make everyone breakfast and my brother-in-law took the initiative to invite all of his friends. So I made the world’s biggest fritatta and we even had left overs. And don’t try to act like you didn’t listen to Aaron Carter.
To no one’s surprise I got hungry again about an hour later so Mark and I went to Jason’s Deli, which is where we lived in college. I got my usual salad bar and piled on all the things that probably don’t go together, but it was so good.
Then I got a little naughty after lunch. I wrote the book on Jason’s soft serve in college. A little bit of the chocolate vanilla swirl + chocolate syrup + chocolate mouse from the salad bar + granola + hazelnut pieces + more chocolate syrup… x2… My diet starts tomorrow.(watch this video if you don’t get the reference)
My brother-in-law texted his friend who works for the Memphis Grizzlies and got us two tickets behind the visitor’s goal. Yeah, Aaron Carter and Lil’ Bow Wow in one weekend… what my middle school dreams were made of.
