Remember the days of Myspace where you had so many emotions that they could only be described through song lyrics? No? Maybe I was an abnormally angsty pre-teen. Dashboard Confessional would get me.
In honor of my tortured, brooding past-self I’m recapping my weekend by “song per-picture.”
Friday night Mark took me home to his parent’s house for dinner. Everything they make is delicious, but they out did themselves on these chicken, pork, and shrimp kabobs. Plus all my favorite veggies.
The next day, I woke up a late and didn’t eat much before running with my new friend Kathleen. She just moved here from New York and found me through my blog! 13 miles @ 7:30 pace through East Memphis.
My sister, Melissa, had this fat frittata waiting for me after my run. Ain’t she sweet?
While Mark was napping, I snuck out for a little shopping trip. I hid his credit card under a magazine to try to trick him into thinking I had it, but when he woke up and noticed it was gone, it didn’t phase him in the slightest. (Good to know for future reference).
I tried on everything at Urban, but decided to save my money for Christmas presents and walked out semi-empty handed.
Nope, never thought I’d be referencing Papa Roach on my blog, but he feels me on this one. Remember that time I said I wanted a blanket scarf? Well, wrapping an entire afghan around your neck sounds comfortable in theory, but I wore my sister’s and spent the afternoon gasping for air.
After attempting to shove my brussel sprout plant in the fridge, I ran and went to Yoga at Fleet Feet. I took off my socks and lamented on how disgusting my feet look during marathon training. Namaste.
Luckily a group of us training for St. Jude scheduled pedicures for after the race. Poor soul who has to work with these bad boys.
Worked on a new Christmas dessert recipe and ended up eating 3/4 of the pan of paleo brownies… occupational hazard.
