I did a post a couple weeks ago about What the Elites/Pro’s Do and how we can incorporate a lot of those things into our training, but what I’ve really come to find is that I’m actually most interested in what they’re wearing. Shallow indeed, but I am who I am and who I am is a lady who is running apparel obsessed. Allow me to indulge.
Jordan Hasay is adorable, but somehow she transforms into an intimidating track star badass the second she puts on Nike. I’ve been seeing this Aeroloft Vest all season and they’re definitely the rage right now. Pretty pricey, but I found a cheaper one here* on Amazon.

Here we have the lovely Emma Coburn sporting puffy style in her New Balance Ultra Light Down Jacket. The best part about these is that they are incredibly warm without making you feel stiff or weighed down. I love me a puffy.

I’ve also been loving all the printed tights from this and last season (I can’t do them because my butt’s too big, but Lauren reviewed them and loved them). Katie Mackey looks fast in the middle in her magenta Brooks Greenlight Tights.

Speaking of tights, I can attest to these that Molly Huddle is wearing. The Saucony Bullet Tights* have side pockets and don’t move a muscle while you’re running. The two most important things in life.

Now here’s a couple of powerful, well dressed running women. On the left you have Kara Goucher decked out in Oiselle per usual. Not your most predictable winter attire, but I feel like it takes a lot to get her running in much more than this. Plus, we all wear bras regardless of the season, it might as well be as cute at this Oiselle Verrazano Bra*. On the right Alysia Monatno has on what every runner also needs, compression socks or calf sleeves.
More than a beautiful runner; beautiful person inside and out. Thankful for what running has given me. Cherishing relationships new and old. Love you @karagoucher thanks for pacing me in my workout today during your long run (isn’t that incredible) . We give our support to one another in our quest of self betterment. Also major big ups to @aric_vh not only for this photo, but for pacing me through my workout as well, effortlessly might I add. Support all around. And for that, I am thankful for what this sport has given me.

All of the women pictures are amazing, especially Emily Infeld, but I love the Nike Dri Fit LS that Shalane Flanagan is wearing. They are so comfy.
And you cannot neglect your hands in the winter, as reminded to us by Lauren Fleshman showing off her Oiselle Mittens. Can I just have everything made by Oiselle ever?
“Giftworthy” is here. Head over to asklaurenfleshman.com fashion section to see a giftworthy idea (and legit discount) every other day in December. And while you are there please read the article I just wrote about why more athletes aren’t vocal about clean sport, and how you can help. #ALF #birdme #powerstretchmittens #flystyle
Meh, fine I’m not a pro or an elite, but I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again that this Lululemon neck warmer is still my favorite thing I’ve gotten this winter. It’s my neck’s security blanket in making that first step out the door when I know it’s going to be freezing.

What’s one piece of running gear that you can’t live without?
Are you as running apparel obsessed as I am?
What’s your favorite social media platform? Instagram is my favorite to scroll through, but it used to be the thorn in my side. I also love pinterest.
